Impact of Diversity Strategic Management on Position of Women in Corporate Environment
Mitošinková, Tereza ; Pavlík, Petr (advisor) ; Šprincová, Veronika (referee)
The main theme of the thesis is the position of women on the labour market and the related fact that positions with major decision making competences are represented by absolute minimum of women. Intentional support of and managing diversity in corporate environment could be, therefore, one of the effective instruments forming more balanced representation of men and women across the corporate structure and hence on labour market but eventually in society as a whole. In the thesis are discussed benefits and difficulties of strategic diversity management in the corporate environment. The research section deals with the ways diversity management affect the position of concrete women in Česká spořitelna, a.s. This corporation was chosen for the survey in view of the fact that strategic diversity management has been implemented there and it is therefore possible to monitor the real impact of diversity management on the status of women in a particular corporation.
To economic circumstances of the fall of apartheid in South Africa
Pýchová, Jitka ; Szobi, Pavel (advisor) ; Tajovský, Ladislav (referee)
Bachelor thesis focuses on economic aspects of the end of apartheid regime in South Africa. It focuses on economic development during 1966-1978. There was a significant reversal in country's economic policy in this period of time and the economic problems connected with the regime had fully reflected. The thesis analyses the economic policy and economic causes which led to aggravation of country's economic development and to the need to reform the regime of apartheid in 1978. The thesis proves that the economical causes of the fall of apartheid had already reflected in this period. I have determined that the discrepancy of labour supply and labour demand is the most significant cause of the fall, which had ultimately resulted in slowed economic growth. Part of the thesis is the examination of influence of racial segregation policies on economic development in South Africa. These policies made it impossible for the market to adapt to changes in labour supply and to changes in the economic structure. Administrative, police and defense costs and the costs of the international isolation of the South Africa had also contributed to the fall of apartheid. Their contribution, however, is not as crucial as other causes.

Harásková, Michaela ; Szabová, Lucia (advisor) ; Nohál, Martin (referee)
My bachelor thesis is elaborating on the topic of opportunities of female graduates on a labour market, being seen from two different perspectives - before their maternity leave and upon a return from the maternity leave. The analysis focuses on the capital city of the Czech Republic, Prague, and is mainly devoted to the obstacles laid by women's discrimination when entering the labour market before and after their maternity leave. The topics of the attitudes of employers towards women are raised, as well as the governmental policies that are helping women to return or integrate into the work place after their maternity leave. In the conclusion of the bachelor thesis, the analysis is being evaluated and a solution to the current women job market in Prague is proposed.

Žena a česká společnost
